Welcome to the webpage of the Arquivos Brasileiros de Cardiologia (Brazilian
Archives of Cardiology).
With more than 60 years of existence, the Arquivos Brasileiros de
Cardiologia (Arq Bras Cardiol) is the official scientific journal of
the Brazilian Society of Cardiology (Sociedade Brasileira de
Cardiologia - SBC) and one of the main means of dissemination of
national and international scientific researches in the area of
cardiovascular sciences.
Indexed in the main international databases (ISI Web of Science;
Cumulated Index Medicus - MEDLINE; EMBASE; SCOPUS; SCIELO and LILACS),
the Arquivos Brasileiros de Cardiologia recently had their first
Impact Factor published by Thompson Reuters. The Impact Factor of
1.316 places the journal above or at the same level of more than 40%
of the journals indexed in ISI Web of Science in the area of
Cardiology. The Arquivos are currently classified as a Qualis B1 or
B2 journal, according to the area of assessment of the Coordenação
de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (Capes), a situation
that collaborates to a better evaluation of the Post-graduation
programs with lines of research in cardiovascular sciences.
All scientific contributions published by the journal are strictly
according to its specific standards and are peer-reviewed by members
of the Editorial Board selected among the most renowned researchers,
from Brazil and abroad. Article acceptance takes into account its
relevance and originality, scientific accuracy and level of
significance for the development of science.
